What We Collect
- Contact form submissions: name, email, selected topic, and message.
- Chat messages you type on the site (used to generate a reply).
- Blog forum content (if enabled): if you post a comment on a blog post where forums are enabled, we collect the display name and message you submit, plus a timestamp. Comments are public.
- Blog reactions (if enabled): if you react to a blog post or comment, we store the reaction counts. To reduce abuse (for example, repeated toggling), we may store a non-reversible hash derived from your IP address and user agent.
- Blog view counts: we store aggregated view counts for blog posts (and may store limited anti-abuse hashes derived from IP address and user agent to reduce repeated counting).
- Basic server logs (for example: IP address, user agent, and request paths) for security, troubleshooting, and reliability.
- Local preferences stored in your browser (for example: accessibility settings like disabling the custom cursor or smooth scrolling). These stay on your device unless your browser shares them.

This is a simplified view of the sensitivity of the information we may receive when you use the contact form or chat.
- Basic server logs used for security and reliability (for example: IP address, user agent, request paths, timestamps).
- Blog reaction counts and a non-reversible anti-abuse hash (derived from IP + user agent) when forums are enabled.

- Contact form submissions (name, email, topic, message).
- Chat messages you type (processed by OpenAI to generate a reply).
- Public blog comments you choose to post (display name + message) on posts where forums are enabled.

- If you accidentally send sensitive data, email us and we’ll do our best to remove it from our records where possible.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your inquiries and follow up on your message.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the website (including uptime and abuse prevention).
- To keep the website secure and prevent fraud or misuse.

We do not use your contact details for marketing spam. If you want to stop communication, just reply to an email thread and ask us to close it.
Partners & Subprocessors
We use a small set of third-party services to operate the site. When you use them, your device and/or our server may communicate with these partners.
Used to generate on-site chat responses and to help filter public blog comments for spam or abuse (when forums are enabled).

We show public stats for games, and we may fetch a public avatar thumbnail for testimonials.
- Data: public game stats and thumbnails are fetched from Roblox APIs (via our server).
- Policy: Roblox Privacy Policy
Our website and API are hosted on OVHcloud infrastructure.

If you prefer to avoid third-party processing, do not use the on-site chat and contact us directly at hello@luminariahq.com.
Cookies & Tracking
We do not use advertising trackers and we do not knowingly set marketing cookies. We may use standard server logs for security and reliability.
We may store a small preference in your browser (for example, whether you disabled the custom cursor or smooth scrolling). This preference is stored locally on your device.
| Storage | Key | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Local Storage | luminaria_chat_consent_v1 |
Stores whether you consented to sending chat messages to OpenAI to generate a reply. |
| Local Storage | lhq_forum_post_* |
Stores your local “reacted” state for blog post reactions (so the UI can reflect your toggles on that device). |
| Local Storage | lhq_forum_comment_* |
Stores your local “reacted” state for blog comment reactions (so the UI can reflect your toggles on that device). |
| Local Storage | luminaria_no_custom_cursor |
Stores whether you disabled the custom cursor (accessibility preference). |
| Local Storage | luminaria_no_smooth_scroll |
Stores whether you disabled smooth scrolling (accessibility preference). |
You can change these via Preferences on the home page, or clear them by clearing your browser site data.
Retention
Server logs: typically up to 30 days (used for security and troubleshooting).
Contact form: your message is delivered to us by email and may be retained as long as needed to respond and for reasonable business recordkeeping (typically up to 24 months after our last interaction).
Game metrics (CCU/visits): we store aggregated, non-personal time series data to render graphs (typically up to 24 hours).
Chat: we do not intentionally store full chat transcripts on our servers, but chat messages are processed by OpenAI to generate a reply and may be retained according to their policies.
Blog comments & reactions (forums): if enabled for a post, comments and reaction totals may be retained until the post is removed or we delete the forum data. You can request deletion of a comment by emailing us.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the site and the information we receive. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
